Oceans Alone

Set me adrift upon waves of blue

White capped, sun drenched

An endless ocean with only

The whales as company

See the fluke there?

Then watch it slip back into nothing

Never to be seen again

Hear the sound of dolphins at play

Jumping and racing, heartwarming

Yet within this shell of a once

Bright and vibrant soul, there is no peace

Upon these peaceful waters

A hurricane rages deep within

Growing in strength

Not wanting to give in

Shimmering tears fill up the sea

Lost and alone, I shall always be
