Intoxication sets in with one
deep inhalation and into a swoon
I do fall.

Into passion's embrace and the
blood lust that shall forever
embrace the soul, over come and
release me from these chains
and untether mine soul.

Unto the shadows I do tread,
silence bequethed as each breath
comes with raspy gasps until
mortal death and coil are shed.

Thy lips caught mine last gasp
of this life as it fades and now
I stare into dark eyes, lost
in pools of a soulful gaze.
