They came on as thieves, as in the darkness of night.
With murder in mind, it was their twisted given right.
To wreak a black havoc, in those sad hate filled hours.
To those innocent people, in those high mangled towers.
But America was strong, cause' it just had to be.
It had witnessed Pearl Harbour, before this you see.
Then they sent out their army, to do what was right.
And the world it would witness, a spectacular sight.
This mighty nation, the land of the all free.
They're fighting for our freedom, for you and for me.
And then, with her allies, comes the American cry.
Don't mess with us boys, or you know you will die.
So just sit at home, in your comfortable chair.
Don't think of the fighting men, who are dying out there.
But remember when peace comes, and things are put right.
Your freedom was paid for, by the American Might.
So as some men are injured, and other men die.
Don't sit there and criticize, and ask reasons why.
Pray for those brave boys, as you turn out the light.
And thank them for the reason, you sleep well to-night.
