This gentle red rose in my hand I hold.
Its wonderful scent is great to behold.
I feel so special to be given it.
A spark of love with it was sent.
The drops of rain that still clings to the petals
of this delicate flower,
are there to show they helped it grow
more beautiful with each new hour.
My lips gently touch the raindrops
as I smell this very special gift.
Its soft subtle aroma gives my spirits a lift.
This rose was given to me,
from someone with love.
I am grateful for such wonderful things
