Pretty Little Hummingbird.

Pretty little hummingbird fluttering so close to me.

Over my head and round and round, you were such an awesome sight to see.

I wonder what great things your good luck will bring my way.

Oh what a wonderful nature birthday surprise on such a special day.

I held out my hand to beckon you to come to me.

You started fluttering towards me, and I thought can this really be what I see.

You stopped and perched yourself on a branch of a bush of red flowers.

You were so breathtakingly beautiful I could have watched you for hours.

I couldn’t believe it when I saw you settle so close to by.

The red coloring on your throat was so pleasing to my eyes.

You were so very near, less than two feet away.

Making beautiful noises, I wonder what you were trying to say.

I felt the connection of you trying to communicate with me

as you looked directly into my eyes.

I didn’t understand exactly but I know you were giving me good news,

and I accepted it with a smiling sigh.

I have never seen a humming bird sit so very still

and make those bird talk noises that wonderfully filled my ears.

Pretty little hummingbird as you started to fly away

I sent a thought to you that you had made my day.
