... a little sexy love humor

Poem Artwork

by CJ Heck

Have I told you lately
how good you smell
when the shower
finally spits you out?
I can't remember
the last time, but
it wouldn't surprise me,
considering how much time
we actually get to spend
alone together these days.
I do know I remember
how intense we used to be.
We need to get away,
just the two of us,
before we grow any ruts
in this relationship's road.

Let's go somewhere,
before talking dirty
really means:
"You doing a light load?
Can you grab my pj's
on the back
of the bedroom door?"

Before wanna catch a quickie?
really means:
"I'm pooped. Wanna take a nap?"

Before Oh God, I'm coming!
actually means:
"Don't nag me, I'm almost ready!
Go ahead, start the car."

Let's go somewhere, while
Baby, that was fantastic!
still means ...
a lot more than
a Sunday Scrabble win.

It's not too late.
Oh yeahhh ...
I remember.

This truly is an important trip to take...My hubby and I have our Wednesday's as "date night..." it doesn't have to be anything but time to ourselves...a walk in the historic district, appetizers at a seaside shanty or just driving in the country, going to vegtable stands or flea markets...and Home depot too! LOL!
It's fun to have fun with your bestest friend!
You penned it perfectly, with a desperate voice wanting to grasp anything...before its too late!

Enjoyed~
Love and Peace~
Kimmy~
P.S. Hope all is well with you and yours, CJ~ :)

A tender and dignified way to write about a sensitve subject for both spouses, CJ.

Thank the good LORD, that the spiritual connection and blessing, is what keeps old lovers together...and discovering new levels of that love!

You have just described the comforts of marriage. Seriously. Who else but someone you are that comfortable with can you talk about your loose bowel movements? Okay, not exactly the perfect example but I think I made my point! I loved this, so true.

I can recommend a camping holiday in France.

Or early retirement!

Good poem C.J. and a lot of truth in there.

JC, AD did not notifuy me of this poem, so I'm sorry I have not read it before. It seems there is a problem. Glad I was told by a friend of this. Quite an amusing poem. I hope to receive notices of your poems. Victor

Yes CJ get away before the meanings change. Giggle, I really like this. It brought a smile to my face, something which I seem to do more of these days, but sadly not enough. Thanks for sharing CJ.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie

Amusing how language has associated meaning (double entendre??). Like the driver standing by the ambulance eating a pair. Along comes a busty nurse on her way to work. She smiles at him as she passes saying, 'Ooh that looks a lovely pair' to which the driver replies with a juicy grin, 'You took the words right out of my mouth!'
So saucy. It's a pity that political correctness in all its kill joy manifestations has deemed this kind of harmless humour offensive.
