This poem was loosely inspired by one I read by my dear friend, Rusty Daily ...

Poem Artwork

I am a lady,
but I am
so much more.
I am capable
of great insight
and quiet wisdom,
undying devotion
and love.
I am willing to give
more than receive
as long as it doesn’t
become habit and you
take and take
and never offer
anything in return.
I am a lady.
I am more than
a receptacle,
or a body
to be viewed
and screwed
at your leisure
with no thought
to what goes on
above my neck.
I’ll not be
a window dressing,
nor your bobble-head doll
who nods in agreement
with everything
you say and do.
I am a lady.
I’ve heard it said
that to kiss a man
when he wants
to be kissed
is like scratching a place
that doesn’t itch,
but I will guarantee
that I’ll always
have an itch
and not just for kisses,
but only if I am loved
and the love is shared
with respect, kindness,
honesty and faithfulness.
Rest assured,
it will all be returned
to you ten-fold,
because you see,
once the bedroom door
closes and the passion
rages in my blood,
I don’t have to be
a lady any more ...

Naughty, naughty!

First, I often wear glasses. And now my secret is out. I use "four eyes," 'cause sometimes I'm lookin' above the neck, and sometimes I lookin' for more from my little wh--e. When it comes to wenching, I want it all.

Ruff! Ruff!
That'll be the dog in me chasing tail.

You are so wicked!
Love,
Richard

This is a fine self-actualizing poem; an affirmation of faith in oneself and a strong display of self-esteem. I admire that, CJ. Thank you for sharing this offering. Love and peace to you,

Oh, yes, a Lady, and a very classy one, too - with the zest, the rush of passion that adds that very distinctive touch... which makes her just perfect! This is outstanding poetry, dearest CJ, what an awesome pleasure to read it!

An amazing poem which I am very happy I read and to be frank it did suprise me as I expected it to be about someone straight-laced (going by the title) but man oh man what fabulous sparks indeed fired in it ...they lit up a big smile on my face and made me brighten right up...wow...a top notch poem which I loved,I agree with Tinka: 'way to go girl"

Whoooooo hoooooo hot stuff with a strong message that though we should always respect and appreciate the ladies in our life, it may will be that if we do it will be heatedly appreciated both behind closed doors and in the open.

She takes the rough edged poetry of one and turns it into honey and a 'full body' message. Insight and wisdom are far more sexy than bobble-headedness. And of course, respect should never end at the bedroom door. Written as only a strong woman can write.
