She was so confused what to do or say?
He looked so peaceful in a suit of gray
Finally at peace with the world
On this cold gray autumn day
She cried in desperation why did you leave me
No answeres just tears falling to her knee's
The day he was laid to rest
She came in a tear stained dress
Sat down then said a prayer
Father forgive me I'm so depressed
Took some pill's laid next to her beau
As she whispered her love a final farewell
No more cold nights or problems from the past
Just you and I togeather no pain or handicaps
Closed her weary eye's slept forever last
On this cold gray autumn day
I can so relate to this Leonard. I fight taking all the pills and washing them down with a great bottle of Pinot Grigio, lying down, and going to sleep never to wake up. This is very close to home, my aunt went this way after my uncle. Poignant, sad, and thought provoking.
