My Columbian Goddess!

On a cold winter morning she's all I ever need!

Poem Artwork

My Columbian Goddess

You are the first thing that I reach for

each morning when I wake.

My heart races

I’m trembling—trembling.

Greedily I inhale you

as though I would die

without a wisp of your scent

on my each and every breath.

I can tell you are ready.

I just hope there is time.

because I need you twice.

Once will never do.

Some would say I’m addicted.

I’d gladly be your slave.

Chestnut brown full bodied.

You are beautiful.

It’s noon when I see you

and I know I must surrender.

I’m too eager, in a hurry.

I’m burning—burning.

At home that evening

You are waiting—tempting me.

But I know that if I take you

You will keep me up all night.

I love you when you’re warm

Need you when you’re hot.

And yet I must confess

I’d settle for you cold.

My Columbian Goddess.

William,
You shamelessly lead the reader on to believe what they may...lol. For me he is a tall, robust fella with a French accent. I drink of him daily. Great job here:) Love and Hugs,
Sheila

Did you ever think about selling this to a coffee producer -- company-- processor as an advertisement? It would make a great comercial! --Charlie

A witty write. It seems I've found another coffee addict.
