This poem will touch many. For the beast has touched many families. Jails are growing and it seems like the devil is winning. But God can use us wherever we find ourselves.Only God can deliver. written by Ruth Sadi El (formerly Wanda M. R. Garrett), July 25, 2001 time: 11:51 am

INSIDE THE BELLY OF THE BEAST

He's in the belly of that awful beast
One way in and one way out
Completely controlled
Freedoms gone without a doubt
It has him under its control
No longer are you in charge
You've become a state puppet
No longer are you large
Locked up tight
like an animal
Bars all around
Walls in the front
Walls in the back
Environment cold and down
What kind of life is this
Caged like a wild beast
No place to turn
No place to run
No place to get relief
All you can do is think and reason in your head
So many in the beast's belly can't cope
Would rather be dead
Many make that choice to get into the grasp of
the beast
The Beast does not discriminate from the oldest to
the least
Trapped, confined, caged
Bars become your friend
To much time to think from your beginning to your
end
What brings mankind to this man made cage
Well, unlawful activitites, anger, uncontrolled rage
Being in the right place at the wrong time
Or just living undgodly
Taking life's course out of its rhyme
They say you play with fire
Being burned is the end result
And who ends up in the beast's belly
It sometimes is unfortunately they're own fault
They live a life on the wrong side of the law
And escape judgment daily
And proudly they walk tall
But one day those seeds you plant will grow and
blossom in your face
Then to your surprise your life is in a race
Time no longer on your side
Your walls are closing in
And reality rears it unique head
We will pay for our sins
Down in the belly of the beast your wrongs you will
pay for
Stripped of pride and human rights
So much more you'll find in store
The beast can take on many forms and many shades of life
Only God can set that crocked path and start making things go right
If it hadn't been for the Grace of Allah there'd go you and I
Look up to the heavens and praise your God who is looking down from up on high
The wrong made right, the bad made good
Let this first be understood
The wages of sin is death and shame
Allah's Truths are the only thing that can clear your name
The Truth will set you free and make you clean
From the most terrifying person, the violent and the mean
Allah's Truths runs deep cleansing from inside out,
Submit your will to Allah
Taste His life, and have no doubts
Walls are all around us
What's inside can be made new
Let God direct your path, for inside the beast there will be blessings
And a job for Father God Allah you can do
Let Allah you back on that straight life
And inside the beast or out your life can be made right.
