This Is The Season

This is the season for laughter and cheer,
For embracing and loving,
And having folks near,
This is the season forgive from the heart,
Show love and compassion,
From noon until dark,
This is the season,
When warmth can be felt,
Giving and sharing,
The coldest hearts will melt,
This is the season,
For hearing silver bells ring,
And we must not forget giving thanks,
To our Savior and King,
God gave the greatest gift of his Holy Son,
Who came down from heaven to save everyone,
Jesus is the reason this season came to be,
To give life to the broken hearted,
And set their souls free,
This is the season of giving,
This is the season of love,
Came straight from the Father,
Who reigns from above,
Lets get back to the reason why Christmas is here,
For caring and sharing for those far and near.
