You aim to protect, to serve, to keep,
But tell me, don't you pulses leap
With emotion?

Or do you believe you're a superior being,
And therefore should keep me from seeing
Your thoughts?

As a mere woman I make my stand.
I will gladly be led gently by the hand,
But not driven.
