Oh, how he loved his wife.
He’d lost her years ago.
An incident that took life,
From the one he’d cherished so.
He refused to let her memory fade.
So, every year on this date,
Beautiful flowers were displayed
In a favorite place, by her mate.
This year was no different,
As he walked in the office door,
A handsome elderly gent
With a note to add once more.
The line for the bulletin read; Memories trail where love lingers,
I wondered how many tears were shed
As these words flowed through his fingers.
