...i think this was my first piece i wrote in my current style... i know it was inspired in part by the unfinished hem of my homecoming dress...
She comes to the door
To see if I'll let her through
But the door is bolted tight
No way for her to seep in
And though she is out and I am in
Her thoughts begin to stain my mind
I can't help but scream her name
I want her out of my life
I'm coming undone, apart at my seams
The threads of everything I am drag behind
Snagging on dreams and hopes forgotten
Pulling me evermore apart, piece by piece
And still she stands at my door
Yelling the name that we share
I know I cannot hold her there long
She's pulling my mind apart
I look at, and through the door
There, she stands and waits for my exit
So she can pull the one last thread
To leave me standing naked without the comfort of sanity
excellent piece
This is good. Love it. Brought back memories.
