Inside My Soul

A glimpse inside a beautiful and uplifting meditation...

Inside My Soul

Inside my soul shines Love,

A Love so bright so beautiful

illuminating the way home.

It's gentle hand guides me away

from dark and gloomy corners

where fear lies in wait.

 

Stepping onto my bridge of Light

I scan the horizon...

A glorious double rainbow

spans the sunlit sky in vibrant splendour,

A miraculous symbol of eternal joy

that thrills my ever-opening heart.

 

Raindrops of sadness transformed into such beauty,

reveals Life's amazing ability

to reinvent, reconstruct.

 

I stand on the edge of Time and Space

and feel at one with all,

My energy expanding into the vastness

of all that is...

inseparable from the endless energy

of everlasting everything.

A poem filled with wonder and hope. Since some have pointed out their favorite lines, mine is: "Raindrops of sadness transformed into such beauty, reveals Life's amazing ability to reinvent, reconstruct."

In the Old Testament, Jesus gives "beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for the garment of sadness." (not a word-for-word quote, but you get the idea) God can bring healing and restoration to the waiting soul, or as you put it, "my ever-opening heart."

Diana, it is so good to read your poetry again. I was just thinking about you the other day and wondered how you were doing.

I think the thing I love the most about this poem is its dual meaning...the obvious skin deep layer of speaking of nature, and the much deeper meaning of turning the raindrops of one's life into glorious and radiant joy and peace with the help of our Eternal Father and friend. Thank you for sharing your joy with us...

Love! The happiest times in my life were when I was in love...Also, some of the saddest but where would we be, even considering the sad times, where would we be without love? I'm not a religious person, so cannot speak of love of God but can sense the comforting beauty within your words.
