Left: Sound like mo’ money,
Repub’s: M.O.’s or checks,
Dem’s: Dem full of baloney.
You: Words sound like mine,
US: We represent therefore,
We the People, it will be US,
And not, “In God We Trust”!
The problem is to get corporations,
Whose interest is in the bottom line,
Or governments that tax every dime,
Not to subsidize these their crimes.
One hand feeding the other’s hand,
Wallets growing fat from the game,
No matter which side gets elected,
Voters wish, but all ends the same.
Dashed on the rocks of poverty,
Despite these endless debates,
Shipwrecked wretchs, Isle of Debt,
Will, we'll never escape The Fates?
Wait! A money train’s a comin’,
I hear it rolling round the bend,
A tax day reminder, Johnny,
That Cash is already spent!
