A woman is like a mountain
like the volcano awakened
spewing out fire and desire
The heat in her belly growing
exploding into steam and lava
radiating her energy to the sky
propelling rivers of red passion
down the steep slopes of want
across the terrain of my dreams
igniting my life and imagination
sparking my heart to beat profound
She annexes my soul by satiated eyes
becoming possession of her obsession
Her voice exacts rhythms from my body
augmenting a melody within my heart
She takes me on spiraling journeys
ascending rapidly through the clouds
beyond the ancient blue of midnight
She touches me and my skin ignites
in a combustible mixture of atoms
flowing unimpeded in a river of fire
and I see ecstasy in her infinite eyes
while I am burning in her tender grasp
we become elevated in love’s caress
leveled high beyond the embers rise
where two flames merge into the vapor
condensing fast within cerulean skies
the ascension struck our hearts forever
the bond pronounced in between a kiss
then we can no longer touch the ground
for we find ourselves swept into a dream
tracing outlines of love’s sweet mystery
from ashes where the heart cannot die
