Your once lonely eyes fill with hope
As your heart searches the distance
You concentrate on your every step
To ensure that somehow I will know
What it is that your lips whisper out
In the thick of night near the window
As if your thoughts could walk on air
And soon find their way home to me
You imagine yourself slowly soaring
Your soft dreams have found a way
To stay aloft high in that midnight
on once discarded and dusty wings
You center me with a kind of beacon
the light upon the shores of your life
To steer me away from distractions
So I can sail clearly into your world
I stay awake most of the cool night
Wondering what it is you are doing
To have captured my every thought
to stay intensely focused upon you
I set out a net in the southeast skies
To catch whatever dream you have
Filtering out those heavy dark stars
As if they were small fish in the sea
clouds dare give out all your secrets
The constellations go into a trance
And then I begin to have this vision
of just you and I getting up to dance
soon with your head upon my shoulder
floating as our bodies become as one
skirting the floor in that soft music
well until the last number is played
Floating in the softness of your words, swirling in the desires of your heart, reveling in your romantic thoughts. Your talent shines as bright as the "Beacon of Hope" you write of through your fine, talented words.
Amor,
I believe in this depth of connection, where two people can think of one another from remote locations and still feel the connection. I really enjoyed the mood you set with the constellations, the floating, and, my favorite imagery, the dream-catching net in the sky. Great writing, as always.

It is like two souls meeting in another world, a world all their own, a world they understand completely and treasure together. With such love, there is great hope. Beautiful! ~Elizabeth

"Wondering what it is you are doing/To have captured my every thought" This line holds an enormous amount of acknowledgement and reverence, which to me exemplifies your background profile disclosure of "One receives what one puts into relationships and there are no limits." Attention given elicits attention received. I like the detail in here: "In the thick of night near the window" and "skirting the floor in that soft music." The notes of longing play beautifully in this. ~~ Diana
"Your once lonely eyes fill with hope" There is much hope in this dream-like poem. Your imagery is spell-binding. I esp. love the line about setting a net in the southeast skies to catch her dreams. Beautiful writing, Amor.
...'yearning'...that marvelous instigator that provokes captivating 'hope' from the slightest romantic gesture given in a vision. Well done, Amor and thanks for sharing. Love, Blessings and Faith...Joyce * His Inspirations
