It's nearly morning now,
and we're gathered round
the last embers
of a dying flame that was ours.
We laze together
breathing the purity
of the dew-laiden air
until the break of dawn
draws near.
Active twilight sweeps
across the sleeping shore.
The sand shifts
as I turn to you
looking to your dark eyes
for comfort.
Dreams lie like jewels in their depths
and your consciousness
seems to be sinking heavily
towards them.
'Go now' I say,
kissing your eyelids as they flutter
and brushing back
wandering strands of auburn hair
from your face.
The Sea sings in the distance
it's warm breath pushing
waves to lap gently
at my feet in the cool sand
as I walk forward
leaving you behind
to walk alone.

vivid description, subtle and very beautifully strung together.
Major League ballplayer Justin Moore is kidnapped from his own ballpark and transported to a foreign land. It might take high-level international negotiations to free him. Or maybe he will take matters into his own hands.
