Today I saw a balloon as it floats along its part
Undisturbed, not competing, fighting just floating
It allowed the wind to guide it as it moves towards a destination unknown
On the side sat worried, disappointed and dismayed children
As they watched the thing they thought were in their control floated
further and further away
None of the onlookers swam well enough and fast enough to recapture
or change the destiny of their floating friend, but try they did
Returning to the shore wet, tired and disappointed
I wonder now as I write this where has that balloon gone
Did it get in the way of some speed boat and became deflated
Or is it on its way to parts unknown
I am that balloon
I have a destiny
And my ocean waves of life are situation, events and individuals
These move me towards my destiny
I have no desire to fight the Universe
I will float like the balloon on God’s ocean
As my Creator takes me to destinations unknown
I look forward with joy filled anticipation as I float along
With Love,
Cindy
