Winter covers the chilled scene
Cold beauty's upon the land
All life is quiet and still
Nature rest white as planned
Inclines, declines, varying
Winter's artistry is at hand
Dawning sun slowly rising
Night sky lifts up and away
Small homes emitting smoke
Greeting the warmth of day
Deer gaze upon morning's site
Swirling vapor exits each host
Stillness expires from darkness
Consciousness now at its post
Yesterdays have ended and gone
Past time is truly complete
A new present now awakens
for the gentle,
kind
& sweet
