lotus waiting for moon
peacock waiting for rain
Do you remember -
your ferocious face for a long wait for me

On the day of Sivaratri
you observed fasting and did not sleep
you prayed lord for a wish

This is the little poem in telugu penned down by me in 1999 and published in my book.The transalation may not be professsional. This is the anguish of a lover recollecting the past and sharing the experiences with his fiancee . Both are from a rural village and loving each other secretly. Sivaratri is the festival in India dedicated to Lord Shiva. The devotees observes fasting and awake throughout the night praying God for Moksha(Bliss)
