Laying in bed

we toss and turn

Wondering how will we pay the bills

Worrying about health challenges

we or a family member have

Fears of the future

Mistakes of the past

Our stomach in knots

Our heart beating with urgency

and our body tense and wound tight

Then we hear a whisper

We have heard this whisper before

We know who it is

Have no fear

for I am in your boat

as you struggle with

the storms of life

I calm the ocean

I hold you heart and calm

it's restless song of fear

I blow the breathe of the

Holy Spirit within you and your

body rests in the waters of new life

Our body quickly feels a peace

unknown and our heart is serene

We have forgotten the storms

and lay our head on our pillow

and softly say

Thank you Jesus
