I put my trust in God; he gave me a new song

Now I remember the days, when life was a fairy tale

On stilettos and lip gloss, the wind was under my hair

Gourmet meals and limousines, my cup was hot and sweet

What nature? Who cares? My song was all knew

A hundred miles per hour, I had to get the stares

I was stopped in my tracks, I had to turn around

Standing all alone, my song was gone

Nature played a song, it all was around me

Why are you here, when no one cares?

I leaned on a tree and heard the birds sing

My tears were not enough; the soft winds gave me hope

I sat on a rock and wished for a new song

I put my trust in God; He gave me a new song

I am singing my life away, with Him by my side.
