Tis a Natural Thing…
Tis a natural thing for birds to sing
In the early morn of April in spring
For swallows to dart and dive on the wing
Tis a natural thing…
Tis a natural thing for frogs to croak
With deep rich sounds from puffed up throats
And little boys to paddle in make shift boats
Tis a natural thing…
Tis a natural thing for flowers to bloom
to bring joy to the heart and chase away gloom
And bees to pollinate flowers in June
Tis a natural thing…
Tis a natural thing to hear a baby’s cry
And a lover’s whisper and a mother’s sigh
And children telling little white lies
Tis a natural thing…
Tis a natural thing to fall in love
With children, flowers, nature, and doves
With puppies and poppies and rain from above
Tis a natural thing…
Tis a natural thing when near you I stand
To feel my heart swell and my chest expand
And moisture filling the palm of my hand
Tis a natural thing…
Tis a natural thing when seeing you move
To gaze upon you and to fall in love
To know that thy beauty comes from above
Tis a natural thing…my love.
Peace, love, and light,
Amber "V"
