Miranda
Miranda... Tis not truly her name
but, this heart of mine has not been the same
since seeing her the other day
after years have gone by and passed away.
As moisture to the parched desert floor
My heart came to life, my fallen spirit soared
She moved with the grace and the beauty of light
her presence refreshing, her charms a delight.
Her soft, silken skin and radiant eyes
beckon to me like the Greek Siren’s cries.
The taste of her lips once unknown to mine
introduced themselves, the sensation divine.
Miranda, Oh Miranda, what have you done?
You’ve woken my heart and I don’t feel alone.
But, my sweet love, are your feelings the same?
Am I all alone in this passion I claim?
I know you adore me, you’ve said so, it’s true
heartache and pain I don’t want to renew.
But, I can’t keep my heart frozen in time,
Seeking love and care from someone sublime.
Are you here for awhile? Will you go away?
How can I show that I want you to stay,
to hear, touch and love. Oh, Miranda don’t stray.
You’ve captured my heart, please don’t go away.
The answers aren’t clear, all I offer is love.
Tender moments of bliss are what I think of.
Kissing, laughing and stroking your hair
Feeling passion and warmth for the love that we share.
What a lovely writ to the essence of all that is womanlike and tender in the act of love and the wonderment of its longevity.
Thank you, ~D.
