Do you do it on purpose?
Do you know that you are doing it?
Do you enjoy doing it?
Messing with my mind like that,
Twisting it beyond recognition,
Tearing it to pieces and smiling,
Smiling oh so angelically at me.
Ripping my heart out with your tender touch,
Deafening my ears with your soft whisper.
A look of you is enough to set me on fire,
A touch,
Even if only accidently,
Enough to send me flying towards the heavens.
A word enough to break my wings and let me plummet towards earth.
A smile that is all I need to break into tears of pain and tears of joy at the same time.
Why do you do this to me?
Sharing sweet secrets with me and only me,
Planting hope and hunger alike into my heart.
And for what?
To drive a dagger through my heart,
To shatter my soul most cruelly,
When you tell me about her-
The girl you love.
The girl that isn't me.
How often did I want to yell at you:
Are you blind?
Can you not see that I have fallen for you?
How often did I want to scream at you:
Stop hurting me!
Stop lifting me up to tear me down!
How often did I want to beg you,
For mercy for my poor heart,
For a rest for my tired soul,
For peace for my twisted mind.
How often did I want to whisper to you:
I love you.
I really do.

you cant go wrong with a poem like this, because of how it doesn't fit together, that its just writing, no ryhmes, no format. but it has its own way of speaking to you
I, being me, am going to critisize, i dont really like when you say what you wanted to scream at the peson unknown, but i think thats just me....
I really like this poem, and i can definately connect with it!:)

Different concept, but is truly deep. You are going places with these poems. Make sure you know where you are going.
A young widow joins her aunt’s house-restoration project in the wilderness, determined to take a stand for independence, but two men have different plans for her—and so does God.
