I watched, Helpless, Speechless...
Katrina~too pretty a name~ Pretty names belong to pretty girls This howler bore no beauty an assailant without question no mercy within her I looked on from afar News broadcasts proclaiming grim news I knew she was no lady So how did she get such a Pretty name Is it man's fascination when words like incredible are used I'd reserve that for a newborn lamb or a Monarch cracking open the chrysalis Pain and suffering was all she brought cries and pleas for help unnecessary time delays adding to the toll Pretty names belong to pretty girls This howler bore no beauty an ass of the highest order no mercy within her Some years ago her Sister Tracey flattened a place called Darwin just as Katrina has leaving death devastation SORROW These wicked Women deserve not such titles belonging to the meek mild or gentle gender If it were up to me I'd call them by their rightful names Ivy, as in poison Pandora as in box For that is what was opened The day EVIL hit New Orleans Give them the names they deserve think not to glorify in any way shape or form they deserve it not Pretty names belong to pretty girls this howler bore no beauty came armed with knife in hand cutting out the heart of a nation then left without even a backwards glance! You're definitely wise and right. Association with a beautiful name should never take on disaster.

Makes a lot of sense to me. Krashing Killer blowing in from hell's gates! Now that is a name that would of suited this event. Very orginal and extremely well written poem.

Exceptional write--maybe that's why the national weather service has started naming every other storm a man's name...because although we females can be like a hurricane, so can a man when his temper's unleashed.

BTW I hear another is heading towards florida. Called Ophellia.
I thought they went alpha order?

Can you believe one of their worse hurricanes was called ANDREW. HUH never got over that..

The cricket was played in such a great spirit. I voted Warne as player of the series. We'll never see the likes of him again.
