Your Love Would be At Their Reach

I found myself crawling from spaces
far below the earth's fiery core
I fell back as the earth shoved me downward
It was sunlight my heart reached up for
I said goodbye to the falsehoods of shame
and how he misplaced my childhood dreams
He stole them from me at a young age
and my father just could not come clean
He drank from a cup that was empty
while his children lay right by his side
His love only showed like a dragon
and his nostrils spewed heartaches and lies
I come to you now like an angel
whose wings have been stomped all to shreds
You must give your child a sense of joy
and not let their lives be a dread
