Interesting update of this beloved fairytale.
That fairytale was meant to instruct children at a different time about the dangers of being alone in the woods when there were real dangers. Today there is more danger of ticks like I got many times than wolves. Although my brother sent me an account of wolves circling some girls not 6 miles from where he lives on a lake in northern Wisconsin.
Why don't you write a fairytale for our time? Something unique and different.

Wow, this is a maturely-expressed piece of writing. It is also a great expression in word artistry, the word “Squelching” and “screaming”. Wisdom abounds in “The escape will come only when it does” and that is the maturity, “nothing is everything” the wisdom, and those four lines of “Nothing….. “ are the poetry. ~~ djl

You certainly don't seem to be looking at this from the outside, but living it. One way to get rid of all these bad feelings is to write about them, get them out, set them free where you can start to get better again.
