words cant come out (Poetry) - 11/9/2009 6:44:49 PM
one of the many things that helped me along the way was something I fought believe me when I say this. The thing that bothers us the most about someone is something we don't like about ourselves inside. other wise it wouldn't incite us. Those are the parts that make us confused as to what we want to do. some people in life we learn to stay away from, others we learn to just feel sorry for. It's the one's that use that to hurt us or others that I really walk away from. Don't worry, the words come out that you need to read yourself. LadyJ

words cant come out (Poetry) - 11/9/2009 1:54:23 AM
Throughout life we all meet people that, well...basically make us want to strangle them but we don't. The fact that you recognize your animosity (dislike) for her means you have a more superior knowledge of people than most and will probably learn to accept or at the very least avoid her. Either way you captured something real and true in this one. Fee

words cant come out (Poetry) - 11/8/2009 8:34:52 PM
it will be okay, and your ability to use that self control shows a lot of growing up!

how (Poetry) - 11/2/2009 11:45:26 PM
Powerful questions to ask...and you are incredibly wise.

how (Poetry) - 11/2/2009 7:50:33 PM
i have often wondered the same-well said

how (Poetry) - 11/2/2009 4:20:49 PM
Questions we all seem to ask sometime or other during our life time. There are no answers sadly that will bring any kind of satisfaction or peace of mind but... if we learn from there there callowness and strive to never treat others like they treat us...perhaps it can become a positive thing that will change the world just a little... hugs fee

how (Poetry) - 11/2/2009 1:08:28 PM
Sadly, the human race has a bad side, Olyvia. Some people just don't "get it." Love, peace, and best wishes to you, Regis

I'm sure you know the expression, "You can choose your friends but not your relatives." You have expressed this exact phrase over beautifully with your own thoughts and words.

I can ab-so-lutely relate to this . . .

dear mom (Poetry) - 10/30/2009 12:17:58 PM
Words spoken as many I have heard before. Words I remember when I was young I might have spoken if I was even allowed to think such things. I was probably thirty years old already before I finally had someone who told me that I could allow myself to think and even say those things out loud. So many years you have gained in your life. You will in time love her as the mother/woman who brought you into this world yet it will be a different kind of love born of forgivenes and understanding of being a woman yourself. LadyJ

So sad for someone so young to feel such pain but you've written about it very well. Remember that you're your own best friend; don't let other people pull you down.

Loneliness. The pain of rejection is real and, unfortunately, common. Great poem.

This is truly a wretched pain, and I feel for you. The road ahead may be bumpy, but you've got to believe in yourself. You're worth the effort.

Words of love come easy to many and spoken to easily for most. Feeling love comes from within yourselve as much as radiating from those around you. Feelings of sadness, hurt and being alone can be felt inside even when I am surrounded by people who most likely do love me in their own way yet there is something inside of me that doesn't perticularly love myself that day. Your words do inspire a lot of thought for me. LadyJ

Love never gets any easier for sure. Be one 16 or 60 for it's the heart that never ages. LadyJ

Learning to forgive the past and live for the future then remember the lessons you learn from there to help other on this journey. Always ups and downs in the road yet staying the course gets you there. Cherish the old person and honor who you were for all they lived through and finding strength in knowing how far one comes in life. Inspiring write. LadyJ

the pain i hold (Poetry) - 10/29/2009 6:16:31 AM
There are painful moments now and many here will feel the pain of this and remember their own moments. Being able to share and express even the simple parts that one can say is the beginning of healing for many who have been negelected by their parents. The pains of youth are lessened when shared and the strength to those who you share them with. Welcome to the den and look forward to your work. LadyJ

Young love can really floor you at times but it soon passes when another gal gets your interest. Great poem right from the heart full of those blues a lad gets when the love of his life is less than he thought.

I do not know your age but assume you are a teen. You bring back what it feels like to be young again and all the pain that can accompany it. Adults as we get older tend to forget what it was like to be young sometimes when it comes to hurting and it sounds like you have had your share. Your writing though shows an expression of rising above the past and making the future yours. Looking forward to reading you in the future here with your new Den Family. hugs fee

My own heart aches for you and my arms as a father and grandfather reach out across the cyber miles to give you a hug. I will not try and make up excuses for your Mother but it is she that has lost the most for you will be someone to be proud of and your heart will be one that will give love instead of thrashing it. hugs fee

The ability to love, lose love, but still retain the magic that was and the specialness of it all even through our tears...is a special gift. To express it so well is another. Fee

I like the way you speak your heart and mind to express hope and courage when looking beyond the past into the future. As poets we need to use our life experiences to create the recipe for our tomorrows. Well done olyvia and welcome to the Den. Fee

Gear young poet, many of ours has been there, felt that and let despair to come into our lives as a welcomed companion because we didn't knew better, because the world around didn't said that it will be better some day. Then, few of us start to write, to say in paper what the world didn't want us to say aloud, and we, for the first tie didn't felt "dead inside...and that's the truth!" An extraordinary poem. Georg
