Reality or fantasy? Rough and tough attorney, Fat Chance, takes us on a wild ride as he tries to sift through conflicting scenarios in his life. This is truly a fun-read Who-Dunnit. Kudos to Jack Donovan for taking the daring step away from his previous and more sober first book, Priest. He scored.

I finished Priest reluctantly because I felt like I was saying goodbye to old friends. What a completely perfect ending it had! What amazingly developed characters and spot-on conversations and descriptions! I am his new groupie! (Jeannie)

That was a tearjerker and prizewinner in my mind. Beautifully written and paced. And, the ending was a total surprise.

A very engaging bit of historical fiction that I enjoyed reading very much. Your character development, vivid description of emotions and interaction is superb and a lesson in how to write.
And, the ending was quite a surprise and a very good twist that is always enjoyable in a story like this.

Only someone with a Roman Catholic background could have written this hilarious take on the attempt by the church to produce, “perfect,” priests and nuns in an imperfect world. The only thing that I would change would be the reference to hard drives because nanotube or bubble memory is rapidly replacing spinning drives as the preferred choice for I speak random-access memory. I would also suggest that the robots ingest wafers and wine to fuel their recharging cycle.
I'm looking forward to the next installment. It looks like you have the makings of a fantastic novel.

A wonderful, but forlorn piece. The last line says it all.
Reminds me of the time, about 2003, when my brother took my mother to her childhood home, an old farmhouse that had been abandoned for over thirty years but still held many memories from my mother, including a few artifacts that she still remembered from over fifty years before.
