Christmas Eve Silence (Poetry) - 12/18/2015 8:59:58 AM
A very spiritual poem. I find that it is very humbling to stand out in a cold winter night in the silence and just feel what the earth, the moon and the stars are at that time of the year… The winter solstice. Ron

Christmas Eve Silence (Poetry) - 12/18/2015 4:15:51 AM
Nice Christmas poetry, Jean, wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas . . .

The Mountains Are Calling (Poetry) - 12/1/2015 5:13:30 PM
Thank you Connie Faust. My biggest thrill is to write about the many blessings the Lord has bestowed upon me. Your kind words are very much appreciated. I will check out your poetry. My dream is to live near the base of the mountains in the Smokey Mountains. God knows my heart so we will see. We will see. 🤗

The Mountains Are Calling (Poetry) - 12/1/2015 3:19:09 PM
No reviews? That's ridiculous! I don't understand why someone reading it would not respond. I love this for its peace and beauty. I'm saving it so I can come back and read more of your writing. This is SO inspiring, lifting me to the mountain with you, anticipating time with my Lord. Connie

The Old Wooden Door (Poetry) - 7/9/2015 5:50:38 AM
I love it, Jean. It was good all the way through, and the "form of the cross" was a complete surprise! Of course, I had to check to see what you were talking about, thinking you may be imagining a cross on the door. There's a lot of insight and precious memories in your old door, and a beautiful surprise when one takes the time to realize it. Connie

The Old Wooden Door (Poetry) - 5/21/2015 9:24:37 PM
...wonderful poem-metaphor...Jean...indeed the "old wooden door" speaks clear and loud.. "it is neither good nor bad, but thinking makes it so"...and the carved shape of the cross on it....I guess...like Christians crossing their hearts...signifying sincerity and a wealth of knowledge...saying to us all...either entering nor leaving the space...set apart by few...from the outside world...don't loose your confidence..."beauty's in the eye of beholder"...keep an open mind in your own situation...Sort of a psychological nudge towards a greater good/purpose/self-esteem/you name it...which is not the same for everyone...Thanks for sharing your verse.

The Old Wooden Door (Poetry) - 5/21/2015 7:58:36 AM
I enjoyed reading this very creative write. Michael D.

The Old Wooden Door (Poetry) - 5/21/2015 7:33:07 AM
A very unique and creative poem. Especially the observation and metaphor at the end. I think that this door, along with many others like it, will be resurrected by someone seeking its patina as a decoration in a brand-new loft or other place where such interesting artifacts and architectural details become once again, new and interesting. Ron

The Old Wooden Door (Poetry) - 5/20/2015 6:36:01 PM
An interesting write about something that most of us do not even notice when we use it...without a door there would be no egress or entrance, without that same door all that we own would be open to the world...a very good posting, young lady...will have to try to keep an out for you...-e-

The Masters Paintbrush (Poetry) - 5/20/2015 7:06:17 AM
Wow, Ronald Hull, then I'm very sorry to say that you don't know my Master.

The Masters Paintbrush (Poetry) - 5/20/2015 6:28:29 AM
Colors of nature are wonderful and beautiful and "he" had nothing to do with it. Lust and the zest for recognition and life, did. Beauty and deceptiveness survives in the harsh world of nature, creating all the diversity we see. Ron

Passionate Pursuit (Poetry) - 5/18/2015 5:41:49 PM
I can feel the presence of Jesus in your poem. Well done!

In The Quiet Of The Mountain (Poetry) - 5/18/2015 5:40:22 PM
Wonderful poetry! His name is Jesus! Amen!

Patriots Cause (Poetry) - 5/9/2015 3:54:52 PM
This is a magnificent poem that seems to come from who knows the pain and the hope of having suffered the loss of a loved one for the cause of freedom. Beautiful offer of comfort for grieving families! Connie

If Fiddles Were Feathers (Poetry) - 5/9/2015 3:50:37 PM
It doesn't make one bit of sense, but it's a wonderful, wishful bit of whimsy. Connie

The Old Leather Chair (Poetry) - 5/9/2015 3:48:41 PM
How nice to have a special place that comforts soul as well as body. I find much symbolism in inanimate things sometimes; using a certain mug, sitting in a favorite chair, and so on. God is good to give us sensitivity to the things He provides for us. I love the scene you present in this homey poetry. Connie

Aspens Song (Poetry) - 5/9/2015 9:46:30 AM
Aspens certainly put on a display in the Rockies as you have heralded in your beautiful poem. Ron

Aspens Song (Poetry) - 5/9/2015 7:09:27 AM
I enjoyed reading this. Michael D.

If Fiddles Were Feathers (Poetry) - 5/8/2015 7:30:34 AM
What a wonderful, whimsical play with words. Very creative and humorous. I found myself chuckling as I read all of the sweet revelations this honey of a write displays. Ron

If Fiddles Were Feathers (Poetry) - 5/7/2015 3:43:51 PM
This was a wonderful trip down the candy land trail, and I got to be honest I don't think its just for kids, it is for anyone that remembers his or her childhood and as Mr. Bolton said quite a great rhyming trip...Enjoyed this a great deal, and thank you for the smile...-e-

If Fiddles Were Feathers (Poetry) - 5/7/2015 2:01:15 PM
Ahhh . . . This was one sweet little piece of writing, Jean. Your rhyming was excellent and the whole trip was . . well . . . a trip!!!

Wrens Song (Poetry) - 5/7/2015 1:09:50 PM
A very nice rhyme. Looping back from the last line to the first tells me you are getting ready to dazzle us again. I'm ready.

Wrens Song (Poetry) - 5/7/2015 9:14:53 AM
So lyrical and wonderful… Especially because I love the bold and inquisitive nature of wrens. Ron

Wrens Song (Poetry) - 5/7/2015 3:55:27 AM
~Jean~ Your tune a lovely work of art. This little wren so quaint in song. Beautiful poem. Lady Mary Ann

Wrens Song (Poetry) - 5/7/2015 3:51:56 AM
Always reflect upon the gifts that have been sent your way. If you don't, you will regret it later. The wren acts as a wonderful metaphor for all those beautiful gifts we're given so briefly; that we should treasure and hold close in our memories. -- Jeff Mason

Wrens Song (Poetry) - 5/6/2015 4:23:27 PM
I like it a lot! It's so like God to send a special messenger when we need one. Beyond that, I like the way you express the occasion. Connie

Wrens Song (Poetry) - 5/6/2015 2:52:26 PM
Very, very nice, Jean. The birds and animals and fish of nature can bless everyone's lives if they but take the time to observe them and forget their own worries and troubles for the few minutes it takes to be fascinated by nature's children.

A Writers Block (Poetry) - 10/28/2014 3:15:15 PM
Ugh, I feel your pain, as I believe every writer does. Well done! Connie

Still She Dances (Poetry) - 10/28/2014 3:13:44 PM
This is so full of life and love. It's exciting to read of the dancer, twirling in the dance of life, following God's leading with every step. It reflects all you said in your biography, which I loved reading. The concept is wonderful! Connie

Autumn Squirrels (Poetry) - 10/25/2014 7:40:59 PM
I LOVE the open TRUTH: "Do you even have peace of mind about where you will go when you die? Some of us may be able to answer that question with a resounding "yes" but even for those of you who may have answered "yes", the question still remains, " have you adequately equipped yourselves mentally and spiritually" Hope in Heaven with Jesus Christ where we need to store of treasure. To do otherwise is just plain NUTS! Thank you for the scriptural reminder. John Michael Domino

Autumn Squirrels (Poetry) - 10/24/2014 7:11:57 AM
I like squirrels. In my youth they were quite tasty. Now, I enjoy watching them forage. We have very few trees and gardens in my subdivision, so I've only seen one squirrel in my backyard over the years. In spite of what seems like a lack of food except maybe loblolly pine cones and immature live oaks, he always appeared very healthy with the rich coat of red hair. When we started feeding the birds it was fun watching him hang by his hind legs to try to reach the hanging bird feeder. We've solved that problem by hanging it from a place where he can't reach it, so I haven't seen him lately. I've squirreled away enough to pay for my three attendants for the rest of my life, and hopefully, a little left over for their good service when I'm gone. You don't have to be a Christian to do the right thing. Ron

Autumn Squirrels (Poetry) - 10/23/2014 3:05:46 PM
Squirrels are fighting to survive winter also, as is the little black cat hanging around our place. I just like to watch nature and can relate well to it, so it doesn't bother me when squirrels store up their food.

Seasons Of Life (Poetry) - 10/30/2012 7:51:00 AM

Seasons Of Life (Poetry) - 10/21/2012 7:40:40 AM
Yes, time has a way of running out on us. it's what we do with the little time we have left that counts. Ron

Seasons Of Life (Poetry) - 10/20/2012 4:54:05 AM
Very well stated, Jean, and nicely tied together. Here's just a suggestion: Next time tell us what it means to you, deep down in your soul. Make us want to come back to read more and more of your personal insights. Thanks for sharing.
