A real testimony to rural life. Makes me remember the video that my brother made taking our mother to the abandoned farmhouse she grew up in. She even found mementos still in the house from her childhood. Reminds me of my youth visiting relatives' farms and sometimes, exploring abandoned farmhouses.

Genteel and skillfully done. A fine discipline. 2 lines 8 syllables, 2 lines 5 syllables, 2 lines 3 syllables. Not usually a fan of rhyming but I like this format a lot. I'm going to try it. Thanks for sharing. Peace... r

While I'm not necessarily into poetic forms, I do appreciate the brevity imposed in your poem that is still very highly descriptive of this magic place called Sedona. Artists and poets always seem to find inspiration while visiting or living there. It's a long way from Wales and light years different, but the poem works even better the subject like that.

I like the discipline you've employed here. Each line 4 syllables. With the last line rhyming with the last line of the following stanza. Simple. Genteel. Good imagery. Thanks for sharing. r
