Nothing in this poem says anything about sex . . . well, perhaps . . . lust? That it does and thast is where MY male mind ventured and stayed throughout this well-written poem. What is that old saying, Men give love to get sex, women give sex to get love. Sounds like a sure-fire winner to me. Good writing. New Orleans, huh. Houma, me.

Nothing controversial here, unless it's read in a session of Congress meeting on censorship. (Smile)
Of course real humans see nothing here to censure. It is very metaphoric in terms of the woman being "life" and the world around her being invited to take part in the talents that life offers us. And life can be extremely sweet, even when experiencing the bitter.
This poem has romance, philosophy, politics, experience, and wisdom. Glad you wrote it Sis. Alice.

If your heart say's yes go 100% but be honest with yourself, I've deceived myself in past, but when you know it's right, as women seem to have great intuition when they use it.
Don't listen to cynics. Though it must be 100% both ways. THEN GO FOR IT. Faint heart loses true love..
