The interdependency of nature is not news, but it's certainly important enough to drum because humans have upset the balance of our ecological systems. The warning signs are plentiful and are not to be ignored or downplayed.

Your article (not story) clearly shows the interdependence we humans have with our planet and its other lifeforms that is so important for our very survival.
Unfortunately, the biblical reference that man shall have, "dominion over all…," Has led humans to believe that they can destroy whole ecosystems justified by earning a profit and conquering ego. We all need to learn from Buddha and not from the Bible.

I have not studied Buddhism, but always admired the gentle way that Buddhists view the environment, so unlike westerners who constantly try to control it.
The highlight of your article was your revealing of the Great Poisons. As the twin from poor beginnings, I learned to share early and found that anger accomplished nothing but grief. Whenever my brother and I had something we needed to know, our mother would tell us sure we would look it up in an encyclopedia. I had banished those Great Poisons and grew up by the time I was 10.

Yes, time is only a figment of human thinking. While animals follow ritualistic patterns following the seasons ensuring survival, they have no other understanding or essence of time.
