may you be strengthened by the lord during this difficult time. my heart goes out to you. (((HUGS))) to you for telling others about this scourge known as alzheimer's. i took care of my grandma (but thank god, she never had alzheimer's; her mind remained sharp til the end), who lived to be 92 1/2.
it is a horrible disease, and far too many families are affected. bravo for writing such a powerful poem!! love, your friend, karen lynn.

Brenda, I understand your pain.
I've worked with alzheimers patients
for many years. Eight years in a
nursing home...six years private duty.
It never gets any easier. It robs the
mind of so many beautiful memories. It'
robs the patients of so many things! Great
write about a subject that needs more
