Good article, Mark, and very well written. We both remember when Sunday school and home prayer and study were the normal family way. Can we return to this way of life and teaching? I am not sure we can. I have watched for fifty years as our culture has shifted more and more into individualism, more and more into a mentality of "I" and "me", and moving slowly away from the "we" concepts of living which promoted group bible studies and prayer. I am currently involved in graduate studies in psychologies of cultures, and find it interesting that we see no such trend happening in the cultures of India where individuals are very embedded in family and extended family. Your article addresses the issue, if only parents would listen and see the need.
