Having recently finished reading "Nuisance Wildlife'by Sandie Freeman,
I must say it was an enjoyable and thoroughly engrossing read.
I was expecting the normal how-to sort of book,but was delighted to
find it more than full of wonderful advice ,it is that,however it is also full of true-life situations and stories and offers one an almost inside view of a Wildlife Rehabilitator's world.This book also features other rehabbers,two of the most fascinating and dedicated animal rescuers out there:Glenna Blackmore of Blackmores' Primates Plus Foundation in Torrance,CA , as well as Annette King Tucker of
Wildheart Ranch in Foyil, OK.
There are photos of each,as well as a heartwarming and equally heartbreaking story by Annette King titled " Boris: My Teacher'.This story is about a raccoon Ms. King rehabilitated after his encounter with what was more than likely a dog,and subsequent wounding.This story will reach deeply into your very heart and soul.
I will forever keep this book,as it is rich in information,and a wonderful reource book for any property owner,as well as an educational experience for the young,as well as adults.I was prepared to keep the book ,as the author is a good friend of mine,yet I am delighted to report that after reading it,not only am I proud of Sandie Freeman,and proud to know her,I really love the book!
