It's true. No one wants to hear your troubles. They don't want to see grim faces. Happy faces is what they seek. At times, I feel like telling them to look elsewhere for their forever afters.

I'm surprised no one has commented on this very emotional piece. I've been known to comment when someone asked me how I was doing with a negative reply because I didn't want to tell them a lie just to get them off my back.
As I read this, I sensed some great turmoil in your life that brought about writing this poem, perhaps the death of your son. I also sense that he may have been disabled in some way. But I can only surmise and I have often been wrong, because your words are cloaked in mystery.
