Your excerpt is intriguing. And I can see from your reviews that you both are doing quite well. Congrats on this book highlighting the little-known section of New Mexico.
I have a good friend who over the years has gradually revealed her shocking past to me. In spite of our highly different point of starting out in life, we manage to still get along quite well.

Occasionally you come across a book that is such a well-written, interesting story-line and characters that the proverbial phrase "to good to put down" applies, but such is "When An Angel Whispers." The plot pulls you in almost immediately and the author, Tess Thompson, begins weaving side plots with all those involved. The characters are introduced in great detail and provided their own easy to follow story-line on the side of the main plot. The story allows for several twists and turns with a surprising conclusion once all twists and turns are put together!
Even though I enjoyed the book immensely, misspelled words, missing words and other editing issues were to frequent for the reader to ignore or disregard...it's a shame really because it is really a well-written book.

I like the voice of the main character and how the core message is revealed one little side-comment at a time. The ending was not quite what I expected but it fit well and definitely gave me a chuckle.
One part that I found a bit confusing - Initially she says that this is the last night of her husband's sales trip, then she's devastated for two days, but her husband is still at the hotel?
