I've felt like this before. The worst part about TV in my opinion are reality shows, commercials and the news that focuses on violence. Don't we have enough of that. During the school year, the TV is left off for all but about two hours a week. Our daughter is growing up in a quieter world. She had to read books for entertainment. Her friends express sorrow for her because she isn’t staying up until after midnight watching an average of seven hours of TV a day like them.

Well crafted portrait of growing old/struggling with disease and how other's in youth and good health tend to look askance at that not realizing that as time marches on he too will arrive at that destination unless death claims him earlier.
