Spring came to the forest, and it began to awaken. Different kinds of birds returned to the forest to sing lovely songs and build their nests in the tall trees. The sky seemed to be as blue and deep as the ocean. The sun shone brightly and the days grew longer and longer.
Each day brought something new to the forest. The trees became dressed in rich green suits. From place to place, some first delicate spring flowers were spotted in the tall grasses. Like before the musical performance, the air was full of different chirping and buzzing sounds. Everything seemed to be happy and alive. And only one old tree in the middle of the forest did not show any sign of the new life. Everybody thought that the tree froze and could not awake from the winter cold. It stood alone, dark, and sleepy. Its branches were bent down to the ground.
One day the sun saw the tree from the sky and said:
“Oh, poor old tree! Everyone is happy, and just you look so sad and lonely. I wish I could help you. What can I do for you? I am so far in the sky, and the only thing I can give you is my light.”
So, the sun decided to give as much light and warmth to the tree as possible.
Suddenly, the wonder happened! The tree that seemed to be dead stretched its branches up to the sky. When the light was touching them, the young green leaves grew on each branch. In a couple of days, it was covered with the beautiful pink flower gown. The whole tree became pretty and happy.
The wonder of light and love made the tree full of blossom and full of life.
