Your interpretation was nice but or me my adopted parents didn't teach me anything. I was abused for years and wasn't even educated on my period. I had to learn how to cook, clean and wash clothes through my riends that taught me. They didn't love me and I didn't eat candy, cookies and cake like other kids. That would be a privilege and they would feed me when they felt like it. I would steal food off my aunts stove.
