My journey is backed by scriptures taken from the Bible. The Apostle Paul had a similar experience. 2 Corinthians 12:2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know... God knows.

  In the early morning hours I was resting on the sofa but was not sleeping... I am not and was not on any medications at that time or since. Suddenly I was taken up and happened to notice a gray cloud pass quickly by. I recall vividly that this experience was nothing that I could control and was not sure just what direction I was heading but knew I was moving rapidly. Almost instantly, I broke through and could see what looked like a level field of beautiful puffy white clouds as far as the eye could see lying softly beneath me! If you have ever flown in a plane and broke through above the clouds then you will have a clear understanding of my experience. Blue sky and a glow of sunshine filled the sky. Instantly I felt a deep unexplained peace. I looked over to my distant right and there was a beautiful home in the clouds; a mansion that appeared to be made of clouds. I was careful to observe the view and take in the spiritual environment of the heavens. 
There was music playing that filled the heavens. So beautiful, powerful and strong... so wonderful and rich; nothing that this earth could begin to match. The only thing I can equate it to would be myriads of powerful synthesizers playing at one time without missing a note. Deep bass tones, mid tones mixed with high. It seemed that some instruments, mostly sounding of strings would blend in at various intervals throughout the perpetual wave of music to create the high and low tones. Father God had the music tuned in to a channel I liked.. It was rich joyful music, not the religious music that you hear in churches. Exciting, peaceful, cool folk type music but not rock. There was no singing and was on key and in perfect time. It was perpetual and rolling that sounded like myriads of orchestras. I did notice that there was no percussion. One time after telling of my spiritual journey in a local church meeting, a woman came up and told me that she had heard a similar story from a man that had visited heaven also. She told me that he gave the reason why there are no drums playing in the celestial orchestra. He said that drums keep time and since heaven is eternal, there are no drums that beat time in heaven’s music. He then said that the music of heaven is constant and eternal.
I felt so healthy in the heavenlies! So alive! I understand now why there is no need to rest there since it is an energized, joyful realm! Revelation 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
I remember trying to think of earth and it seemed that I had a family at one time but could not recall it. I suddenly could see earth off to my lower left like the head of a pin.. veeery far away. In the all consuming eternal power of His realm.. this experience let me know, that there is nothing that takes place on earth that is remotely a challenge to Father God. Suddenly I heard a man’s voice, so strong and deep, but so sweet and gentle; a heavenly voice that was pure celestial perfection. I quickly turned my head to the right in his direction but saw no one. He then said, “Not one thought… not one word… because you rule and you reign in the heavenlies through Christ Jesus. Then as quickly as I went up into the clouds I was taken back to earth, to my room where I was resting on the couch. I had been going through a lot and wondering about many things. This was the answer I needed. The answer that brought everything into perspective. I learned that day that for me, and for those that believe in Christ as Saviour and Lord, there should never be a thought, concern or negative confession since we have a friend that is with us and lives in us. We literally rule and reign with Christ in this life and forever in the world to come. 
I knew that the things that the angel had said were in the Bible, but just where? I picked up the Bible and within seconds, there it was in the New Testament, in the small book of Ephesians. Two times it states that we are seated with Christ in heavenly places and that we rule and reign with him. Ephesians 2:6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus. I began to pour over this small book. It spoke of the riches of Father God’s mercy and grace towards us through Christ. It also explains that we are the adopted sons and daughters of Father God because of Jesus obedience and sacrifice on the cross, and makes it very clear that we rule with Him! Not sometime, in the future, but now! This puts all that life sends our way in a different light. We can put our shoulders back and be confident that there is one greater on our side, standing with us, giving us hope and strength no matter what we face or go through in this world. We are loved, healthy and wealthy beyond what the eye can see, because of God’s amazing love for us through Christ. He has given us eternal authority and hope in this world and beyond. Because of this experience I have come to believe that everything that God has preserved in the Bible is true .  
My husband was working overtime. After my experience I called him at work. He heard the celestial peace and presence of the Lord emanating through the phone while I spoke to him and confirmed that I had indeed visited the heavenly realm. 
I began to serve the Lord as a young child simply by hearing the truth of Christ’s life and His free gift of salvation as told by my mother and our local church. I learned of Christ’s suffering on the cross for my sins and resurrection and was instructed to read the Bible daily and learn it’s truth. Since then I have tried to live a life of good conscience and make the changes that I feel are pleasing to the Lord and you can too. By accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and turning from known sin He will welcome you into the family of God and bless you here on earth and also secure an eternal home for you with Him one day in heaven forever. I have also experienced the brink of hell. It is a horrific spiritual death suspension where no hope whatsoever exists. It drained the very will to live from my body and took direct hand held intercession by family to keep me alive during the two times that I experienced this. I was involved in ongoing known sin that I refused to turn away from and learned of the vital importance to obey God since he means business. Life is short, God has plans to reach others through us here while preparing us for heaven. It is all about choices we make. Eternity is truly amazing depending what side you are on. 
I was delighted to have met a Christian Sister in the Lord not to long ago that shared her vivid visitation that went within the gates of heaven. She said that the grass, sky and colors in heaven are brilliant. This brief bit of information she shared confirmed a wonderful book by Anna Round Tree called Heaven Awaits The Bride.
