     Strange Visitors
For the past couple of years, my wife and I have experienced unexplained phenomena in our bedroom. Shortly after turning out the light, we are visited by a number of grey coloured clouds that hang around for a period of time. They vary in size and after entering the room via the doorway from the stairs landing; they take up their respective positions, always the same size cloud, in the same location.
We always leave our bedroom door open, not for any particular reason, I guess it’s a matter of habit, although having said that, our next door neighbour has a low intensity outdoor light that shines a gentle glow through a window at the top of our stairs, and this extends across our stairs landing into our bedroom.

When the clouds first appear, we can see a black patch hovering around the doorway, and this interrupts the light from next door, making our bedroom much darker than normal. We have two windows in our bedroom, both fitted with vertical blinds. We always keep the blinds in the window by my bedhead closed, and the blinds in the other window, are always left open.

After dancing around for a few minutes outside the bedroom doorway, the black cloud enters the room, whilst at the same time it changes to a greyish colour and subdivides into five separate shapes. The largest cloud is at ceiling level and takes up a position over the single light located at the centre of the room. Another three smaller clouds take up their positions, one just inside the door at about four feet above floor level, with another up in the far corner of the room, and another on my wife’s side of the bed high up against the ensuite doorway. The smallest cloud, which is about the size of a football, always floats against the closed window blinds, about two metres away from my head.

When this first began, both my wife and I were somewhat disturbed as we were unable to find any plausible explanation. We told a few family members and friends who all seemed sceptical, suggesting, it might be something we were both imagining. We both knew it was really happening, not every night, but we were receiving a visit at least a couple of times a week. I did what most folks would do and searched the Internet for possible explanations. These ranged from spirits, to angels, or even alien visitors. We wondered whether to consult a local priest and arrange for an exorcism, should they suspect our problem stemmed from a spiritual source. We decided against, hoping that whatever it was would soon go away.

It didn’t go away, and things developed further. Several nights a week the clouds would appear and after about ten minutes, they all began to fade away. Then, we noticed the ceiling became covered in tiny stars that shone brightly for about another ten minutes or so. After which, the stars filled the entire room in a spectacular display. It appeared as if it was snowing in the room, as a mass of tiny stars seemed to descend from the ceiling fluttering down like an abundance of snowflakes. We would lie in bed amazed at the spectacle taking place before our very eyes, knowing that people we informed might question our sanity.
The stars continued but they didn’t always follow a visit from the clouds and sometimes they appeared on their own, mostly manifesting as silver stars, but occasionally, they were a vivid yellow colour.
The clouds always showed themselves, shortly after we had retired to our bed, but sometimes one of us would wake up in the middle of the night to discover the entire room filled with brilliant shiny stars. We often woke each other to share in the experience, so we were both convinced this could not be put down to an individual’s imagination.

The cloud which usually hung around the ensuite bathroom door, would sometimes take a position a few feet above my wife’s head and neither of us was very happy about this. Still pondering what if anything we could do about this ongoing phenomena, we decided to attempt to communicate with it, and one particular night, shortly after the appearance of the clouds, my wife stepped out of bed and approached the largest cloud that was just inside the doorway. She stepped into its space and the part of her body that was also consumed by the cloud, disappeared from my sight. I sat up in bed and all I could see of wife’s body, was her head above the cloud plus her legs from her knees downwards.
I asked her to return to our bed and I told her that I would repeat what she had done. The same thing happened and this really stretched our understanding of what we were witnessing.
Since then, I have experimented by placing my arm into a cloud and it’s always the same that the cloud makes any object in the space disappear from view from someone looking on. It’s the same with the cloud that sits below the ceiling light, as the part of the light plus the integral fan which it covers, totally disappears. I don’t see any earthly explanation for this because if it was a kind of fog, then it would have some degree of transparency, whereas, whatever it is, completely blocks out anything its physical volume consumes.

About a year ago, we were entertaining friends and approximately at midnight, the smoke alarm on our landing went off. There was no logical reason for this and we wondered whether one of the clouds had come looking for us because we normally retire to our bed at a much earlier time. A similar thing happened whilst we were away from home on a 24 night cruise. Towards the end of our third week away from home, our intruder alarm went off for no apparent reason, and this was repeated two days later. There was nothing obvious to activate the alarm such a power cut or maybe a thunderstorm, and again, we thought it might have been our visitors that activated an alarm sensor located on the stars landing.
There is one final puzzle regarding these clouds, and that is, they are visible through my closed eyelids. I can see a light through my eyelids that equates to the physical size of a particular cloud, in its exact location in the room.

I hope we are not tempting fate when I say that neither of us fears what is taking place. We both wish it wasn’t happening, but it’s gone on too long now for it to be something we have imagined. My wife has attempted speaking to it, even reciting the Lord’s Prayer, all to no avail. We just hope that whatever it is, it has good intensions and soon it will move away.
One thing is for sure, it’s made us both realise that there is much more to the universe in which we live, than we mere humans can reasonably comprehend. We are both absolutely convinced that we are witnessing things that cannot be explained in this earthly life.
