The Cartwells got a Doberman Pnscher three years ago. They had been looking for a good watchdog and playmate for young four year old Tom for some time. The dog, Pinsher, never got to really like Tom because he always got teased by Tom and his friends. Pinscher really liked Tom’s father, Charlie. Charlie always took Pinscher hunting, fishing, to work or just for a ride. He trained Pinscher to do what he wanted him to do with each motion. Pinscher really liked Charlie, but he didn’t like getting teased by Tom and his friends. Every night, Charie would take Pinscher out to throw his stick for an hour or so. Then, for Pinscher, it was chow time. Every day, Tom and his friends had tease time with Pinscher, and every day Tom would get wrecked by his mother or father. Tease time was when Tom went in and got some food and said “Here Pinscher.” Pinscher would come. Tom would stand there with the food, showing Pinscher, but Tom would never give it to him, except once in a while. When Tom and his friends started going to school, Pinscher always had walks with Mrs. Cartwell. Everyone respected Pinscher, he was a good dog. Except for one thing; he didn’t like Tom and his friends. Pinscher used to play with the other dogs, when Tom was in school. Then he became a father himself, with four pups, which were given away in no time. On Tom’s seventh birthday, he had his friends over for a party. Nobody teased Pinscher. He had a good time with Charlie at the grill. Pinscher always liked hamburgers and hotdogs. One week after Tom’s birthday, the Cartwell’s got their yard fenced. Everyone liked the fence, which took two weeks to put up. Pinscher was fetcing the stick one night when he hurt his leg. They took him to the vet and Pinscher was in the house for a week. The next Saturday, all Tom’s friends were over and it was tease time. Tom got the food and Pinscher was looking at the food and the furious dog had the look of a killer. Tom started running across the yard. He gave one short scream and then Pinscher caught him. Tommy never had a chance—he lost the fight.
