A search on a summer night.

THE SEARCH

THE SEARCH

In the quiet summer night,

Light shining from a great height,

A search until morning light.

We hold firm with all our might

That we find what we’re searching for,

Before the night ends, shuts the door.

We need to find her before it’s too late.

We refuse to leave this up to mere fate.

A shout, a cry is heard in the dark.

It must be her alone in the park.

The light shines on her pretty face.

She sees us and picks up her pace.

She is crying and laughing at the same time,

A perfect ending to this story of mine.

A story poem. It would be wonderful if all searchers turned out like this.

Amazingly, not only helicopters with searchlights help searchers today. At night, infrared detection of body heat is one of the most effective ways of finding people. Security cameras are popping up everywhere and can be a big help. Finally, almost everyone is carrying a cell phone that can be tracked or used to call for help.

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
