Morning Rituals

As I slowly awaken lashes fluttering.

I inhale slowly, conciously, then exhale, muttering.

Stretching out,
arching my back like a pussycat.
inhale.

Feeling the breath awaken every cell, quickening my pulse with each breath, exhale.

Thump,thump,
thump,thump.

In and out so pure, so primal, so...natural,so balanced.

Neches, awaken to the pure bliss of life! Take up the chalice!

Breath pumping in and out,energizing!
Wake up, see what the day is materializing.

Neches, Neches, Neches!
Awaken, awaken,awaken!

Depart your conjured dreams
come away from subliminal intoxication!

Warm sunlight streaming through blinds and eyelids.
I feel you slide your arm around my waist and nudge in,

fit in against me like a puzzle peice, warm and cozy, snuggling.
I surrender, my love I give in.

Breath pumping in and out, in perfect syncronicity with mine.

Two wholes pumping energy round and round within the cocoon of our divan.

Spiraling together, flowing so fluidly, so easy to get caught up, so easy to loose track of time.

Neches,neches,neches!
Awaken,awaken, awaken!

I must get up
fight sweet distraction!

I can't argue routines
that fit like a glove.

Damn, that alarm clock! Maybe, I'll just hit the snooze button ...
so nice to snuggle with the one I love.

Neches means awaken in Egyptian. It was meant to imitate the alarm clock. Lol

that ending got me! HAHAHAHA! LOL wonderful write, though; good way to unwind from the day before or start the day off right...then there goes that damned alarm clock, which scares you halfway to death!
