Rated "PG13" by the Author.

Love is the center piece of this horror thriller short story.
He sat in the corner, staring at the sterile white wall. The flourescent light glaring on the wall started to flicker like a movie screen. The image that appeared was a blonde haired and tanned woman. This woman was one he had known and loved very dearly. She was wearing her favorite bikini. Jerry blinked to readjust his eyes thinking his mind was playing tricks on him but the images remained.

The blonde leaned forward and kissed him passionately on the lips, she then smiled as she turned to walk out the door. He followed her and watched as she started down the wooded path to the lake. Her blonde hair was in a ponytail but it staill came down to her lower back.

"Jerry, it's time for your medication," the orderly said as he slid a tray with a small cup of water and a single blue pill through the slot in the door.

Jerry slid over and grabbed the cup. In a single motion he put the pill in his mouth and swalled the water. Jerry crawled back to his corner where he sat with his head on his legs.

Images of her beautiful smile and wonderful body began to come back into his mind as the medication took affect. Jerry began to sob this was an effect of the stress and pills.

With his composure back, Jerry stared at the wall once more. Jerry saw him and his best friend, playing basketball. The summer day was hot and they were exhausted. He jumped for the shot as Darren released it, but he missed it. All he could do was watch as the shot went in giving Darren the win.

Spent the two guys settled down in the patio furniture to rest. Jasmine in a revealing low cut top walked out with lemonade for them. Jerry watched as she bent over to place the tray on the table, he saw her ample bosom. Oh, how he loved her beautiful body and her blonde hair. That hair she always put in a ponytail.

An audible click brought him back to reality. The orderly entered the room to retrieve the tray. Jerry was not allowed to keep items in his room for fear he would hurt himself or worse someone else. With tray in hand the orderly knocked twice on the door and someone from the outside opened it. Jerry was glad to see the orderly leave as he was nothing but trouble. The orderlies were always looking for an excuse to send him to the big house.

Jerry listened as the footsteps trailed off. Satisfied he was alone Jerry returned to staring at the luminated spot on the white wall. What came through this time brought a big smile to his face.

Slowly the bathroom door opened and Jasmine was there. She walked out of the bathroom with a slow seductive walk. They made love until the early morning hours.

With the rising sun he watched as she slipped her nude body out of bed and glided to the bathroom. She returned fifteen minutes later dressed in a black mini-skirt and a white top with high heels. Jasmine bent over and kissed him goodbye. She left the house in a hurry as she was late for work.

"Lunch time, Jerry," said the orderly while placing the tray through the slot onto the platform.

Jerry looked at the plate of hamburger with brown gravy and mash potatoes with disgust. This was the third time this week. He grabbed the plasitc spoon on the tray and started to eat. The smell brought his living memory back to him.

He watched as Jasmine swayed down the sidewalk towards him. She was wearing the outfit she left the house this morning in and beautiful as ever. She ordered meatloaf and he had hamburger with brown gravy.

"What are we going to do tonight honey?" Jasmine asked.

"We can go to a movie or whatever you want to do." Jerry said.

"I get off at 7 p.m. we can go to a 9 o'clock movie if you want to pick me up by eight-thirty."

"Ok I will see you then." Jerry said as he leaned forward to kiss her.

She smiled as she gathered her purse and walked that oh so seductive strut down the sidewalk and around the corner. Excited about tonight he called the waiter over and paid the check. Jerry headed home to get things ready. He entered the house and locked the door.

"All done with your meal, Jerry?" the orderly asked.

"Yes, I am finished. Now leave me alone."

Jerry eyed the orderly as he gathered the tray and all the items that were on it. Satisfied he left nothing behind he knocked twice and the door was opened from the other side.

'Why must they bother me?' Jerry thought.

His mind started racing again. This time he was pulling up outside of the house to pick Jasmine up. She was suppose to be ready for the movies now but it looked like she had company. Jerry puled a block from the house and killed the car. Silently he walked through the shadows to the only light that was on in the house.

He peered through a crack in the bedroom curtains, there in the nude was Jasmine. She was rocking back and forth with a feverish pitch and then he saw it. Those hands rubbed her breasts. The hands were not his, but he knew who they belonged to. They were Darren's. Rage filled him as he stormed back to his car. He slammed the door as he started the engine.

"Jerry it is medication time again," said the orderly while passing the tray through the slot to Jerry.

Jerry snarled at the pill and water. He put the pill into the cup and drank it.

'They are poisoning my mind. They want to make me weak.' Jerry thought.

Jerry put the tray back on the door and banged. The slot slid open and the orderly took the tray away. Jerry felt the sadness welling up inside him again. He cried for twenty-minutes this time until his thoughts returned.

Jerry looked down at his hands and saw they were covered in blood. He saw Darren's body laying montionless on the bedroom floor. The same room Darren had sex with Jasmine just twelve-hours before. Jerry had stabbed him thirty-six times with an ice pick. After cleaning his hands up Jerry called Jasmine on his cellphone. They made arrangements to meet at her work and drive to a lakeside cabin for a weekend of fun. He packed her bikini and other clothes she'd need for the trip before going to pick her up.

At 4 p.m. he picked her up and they drove along the winding road in the hills to the cabin. After dinner Jasmine slipped into her bikini. She kissed him passionately as she headed for the door. He watched as her tan body swayed down the wooded path.

"Dinner time, Jerry," said the orderly as he placed the tray into the room.

Jerry stared at the food and then decided he was not going to eat. Instead he returned his attention to his thoughts.

Jasmine was sunning herself lakeside when he walked up. Her grabbed her ponytail and dragged her to the lake. She was kicking and screaming as he pushed her head under water. He pulled her up and looked into her eyes.

"I killed your husband today and now I am going to kill you. If I can't have you no one will." Jerry said as he pushed her head back underwater until the bubbles and struggling stopped.

As Jerry was pulling her from the lake two policemen pulled up. They had been summoned by neighbors who heard the screams.

"What is going on here?" The Officer asked.

"My wife, she was drowning. I tried to help her but she wasn't breathing when I got to her." Jerry said.

The officers took him in for questioning. They found that he had killed Darren whom Jerry thought was sleeping with his wife. The truth was Jasmine was married to Darren and Jerry had been sleeping with her. During the trail the judge and jury were convienced that Jerry was not mentally stable so they sentence him to life in an insane asylum. That had been five years ago.

"Finally he has confessed to both murders." The orderly said as he dialed 911.
